Classes:

TBD the day of the race. This is going to be a very open forum event and somewhat of a "run what you brung" or bracket event. Our goal is to not limit participants this first year and may categorize classes by type of car or age or both. We'll have to see who shows up!

We expect to see a variety of entries from old fashioned soapbox derby cars to go carts (motors NOT running and preferably out of the vehicle if you intend to compete for fastest car as it would be an added wieght) to some pretty fancy designs. So when entries show up, we'll try to match you up as best as possible with a competitor. Or it's OK if you just want to race your friends!

We also intend to let you run many times during the day depending on the number of entries, so everyone should get a chance to run against anyone they want.

Entry Fee:

$10. $5 for Students (college is OK too!).

All entrants will be given a wristband.

The entry fee allows the driver the opportunity to race as many times as he would like during the event, within the event parameters. This a per driver fee, not a per car fee.

So if you want to build just one car for two kids, each child would pay a $5 fee. If throughout the course of the event, you decide to try someone else's car (with their permission of course!), if you've paid the fee and have a wristband, there's no extra fee.

There are no limits as to how many times you can run, nor guarentees as to running more than once. That all depends on how many people show up and how many times you can get back up the hill to run again!

Rentals:

For a suggested donation of $5 for the event, you can borrow from our fleet of rental cars. They are loaned out on a first come first served basis, and are made availble to the "next person in line" needing one. You may not get the same car ever time, but you are sure to have fun, and it may get you fired up enough to build one of your own next year!

The idea is not one rental per person - the idea is that there will be 8 or more cars available for the renters to use when they get their turn on the hill. So the next rental car available will be loaned to the next renter in line. We will try our best to monitor them so that they don't get permanentaly attached to one driver all day (that wouldn't be fair!).

There may be some delays in line as we get rental cars back up the hill depending on how popular these cars are, but we will try our best to get you on the hill ASAP for some fun! Please bear with us!
